Versatile, this jam is also great on scones, biscuits, and also makes a great topping for cheesecake.

Strawberry Shrub

This season we have turned our strawberries into something new and delicious, strawberry shrub. Like our jam, our shrubs are made with fresh local strawberries. Shrub is drinking vinegar that was once used to preserves fruit; it has regained popularity and become quite a versatile product. Originally added to water this made a thirst quenching drink, to help stay hydrated in the summer heat. Now shrubs are used in a variety of drink mixes, and can be added to soda, sparking water, lemonade, or to any of you favorite beverages. It is slightly tangy, and sweet. Add a little, or add a lot, it up to you.

With or without oils, shrubs also make a great salad dressing. For a light spring salad, add strawberry shrub to a mixed green or spinach salad. Top it off with fresh fruit and nuts. This will be one of your new spring favorites.

Strawberry and our other shrub varieties are $8.00 for a 6oz bottle.
